Had a serious case of fatigue thoughout the weekend, so I was barely able to update. I do have the pages ready, they just need lettering. Bear with me.

Slightly manky update rate as of this week and next but we shall provide. As of February (or this moment in writing at least) there will be more time provided to work on Genma, and the next volume of Collected Comic Madness (we're up to 3 now). The next one will be mostly focused on Maud, but will also feature new shorts with new characters that will be, uh, revealed in due time.
Genma Visage Book 1 in print is set for a release this February as well, with 2 and 3 aiming for a March release. Cheers-Tom

No update tonight but expect 3 pages this week. Full time work an all, but I have been quite productive as part of a routine last week. Did a lot more work than i thought i would. Anyway, I've added an Update rota to let you know which days of the week (roughly :P ) one can expect a page. -Tom

Dealing with a few things at the moment, namely overtime at work for the Christmas period, coupled with furious illness, a dead rabbit and the burden of X-mas shopping. Aim to have a few things kicking of this Christmas Eve, and next week my work schedule returns to normal more or less so updates away by that point.
Recently we got nominated for another Webcomic 2011 award at Comic Monsters which is quite flattering. Check out and vote here and here if you can. They using a dated image of GV i have to say so i may as well pimp the newer pages there if i can tonight.
In case Jack Frost comes to assassinate me I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

Woho, been a while since the last new, and I've still been meaning to do a report on the Leeds Thought Bubble (long story short, it was good. Very tiring though).
No updates this week because of a Lengthy commission I've been sorting out. Book 0 starts again next week and on top of that there will be an X-mas short out sometime this month so hurrah.
For now a new Bio card or two has been added in the appropriate section, so go check it out.

Have just updated the links to the new facebook and deviantart pages of which both have their own groups on those networks. In fact you will notice the facebook plugin that allows you to "Like" the page. Truth be told i'm not sure if it syncs well with the design of the site, but that's my fault since I'm updating this website with a version of FrontPage Express over 10 years old. Haw.

Ayup.

After much deliberation, practicing, grinding, new-artwork-creating, goofing off, getting drunk and reading Asterix comics, I've decided that Genma Visage is in a fit state to start again this 31st of October. The way I look at it, this comic has been dead for a while, Halloween celebrates the dead, and both have monsters. I can't think of any better testament to the thing than that. :)

The update format is currently looking at 3 pages a week, at Monday Thursday and Friday. This will go through the month of November of which I have enough new pages for that month. Come December we might come back down to 2 or stay at 3 pages a week we shall see.

The first 8 pages by the way will be a short that's meant to come before Book 1 to set the general scenario of the comic. To add further interest there will be this 8 page intro that is exclusive to the webcomic version, and a different 8 page intro unique to the printed version of the same book, to help readers keep their eyes peeled.

Asides from Text, Book 1 with the new content is ready to be released Mid November. Book 2 still needs some new stuff to do, so we're looking at roughly a December release, but I might get it done for mid November as well and in time for the Leeds Thought Bubble event that I am attending.

Book 3 will have some new content as well as a new cover, and I am intending to release that January 2012.

Some of you may recall the Genma Visage Animation Artbook. This is effectively being started from scratch as i find the purpose of the book along with the older artworks to have served its purpose. Whilst the plot will be the same and some of the old artwork will be there at the back, i wanted to do a new short that concludes the intended movie that was planned with the pilot, concerning the drago visage halfling Tanya, and the Vampiric Demon Overlord Grail.

Book 0 will continue the webcomic for a bit. It's looking a lot bigger than i first thought it was going to be. Lord only knows of the Bonus content for the finished book format is gonna look like, and the release date for it in 2012. :E

Just to take your minds further back, some of you may recall my intended series on Zulie Zerpent's upbringing. No comment on when that's going to start but i do have a nice plot for it that has been circling my mind when I'm at the drawing board. It would be intended for this series to be the first to go to a publisher like Markosia and Image. Mind you, I'm giving serious thought for the European market for a distributor here.

Some of you may even recall the titles "Demonic Terror" and "Demonic Nightmare" being thrown around in places. These are now shelved ideas that will come back in an upcoming Book of Genma Visage, and to be fair, much of the monster designs for those titles has made their way to current Genma Visage stories anyway. Polar Bear Maud has generally filled its shoes as far as a 3rd title goes. In particular the "Collected Comic Madness" comic I've done has again taken up the final amount of time along with table space at my 2011 conventions. There's no set release dates for new Issues of this one mind, as it was intended as the occasional Codex of other comic works I've done. However, with Maud and other crazy ideas and new shorts in my head, i maybe more prompted to make releasing it more regular.

Suffice to say anyone who wants me to work on a comic series with them involving VOLUMES of work on my behalf can sling their hook. :P

I've been making tweaks to the webpage as we speak. In particular we've got some nice new banners advertising the characters and also the Mint New Logos. The overall website design won't change fundamentally but again I'm gonna tweak it enough so that things are more accessible than before. And banners. Must have them.

It will fun to finally cross that bridge of completed work like I intended to all those years ago. Like being born again.

That's right. Book 2 of Genma Visage is has been rewritten, Meaning my entire Webcomic is written and read as it was meant to be written and read.

But yeah i do hope by this point that the story is a lot more clearer, now that i know the universe i intended to create. I like to think that knowing the plot now that by returning to these pages i helped to give the characters a bit more ambiance between each other as well. But we'll see.

Main pointers before reading:

. Admittedly a lot more text was thrown into pages that weren't designed for it. I've tried to slash it down as much as i can, but pages that are normally roomy now have a little less space.
. Zulie presented the biggest challenge i think, not only to give her more relevant speech than before, but also to appease fans who consider her the best character. It would seem that i would settle with a riddle and poetry like dialogue, or "Master Yoda" talk, couple with the speech impediment with a "Hiss" It was originally my intent of having speak in 17th century \ Shakespeare speech, with the use of "Thee" and "Thy." This being based on that translation of other languages both old and young came about that time. Anyway a mate of mine whose also my harshest critic sharply expressed dissatisfaction in the change, in particular my poor use of the words. So i bounced back to poetry talk.
Zulie's become much more of a spiritual character now and less of a nympho insane loonatic. It's possibly my plan to have her communicate to Ryuken sometimes in just a sexy "Hissss" with Ryuken understanding every sound she makes.

. T mostly speaks in Cockney slang, in case you're trying to decipher every 10th word. :P

. Hiero although straight, has come off as one of the most gay characters in the comic now, second only to Pteradon. :P
